There are a number of ways to get help when it’s needed, to talk to someone or to know what support is out there for you or a loved one.
The national hotlines remain the best way to get immediate assistance. Please use them.
The nearest Acute Care Team for crisis support is at Tauranga Hospital.
Please call 0800 800 508 (Tauranga).
You may also consider:
Talking to your GP.
If your GP is registered elsewhere (not in Waihi Beach or nearby), it’s still important to touch base with the one you are registered with. Your GP can provide counselling referrals and non-urgent support.
Talking to the Community Connector.
The Community Connector service can also provide access to resources, counselling referrals and help with other things that might be stressful, helping you to navigate a difficult time.
