Waihi Beach Library and Council Service Centre

Located to the left of the main doors of the Waihi Beach Community Centre, Waihi Beach Library and Council Service Centre provides the community with access to council services, free public WiFi and entry into the wonderful world of books. Membership is free for all residents and ratepayers in the Western Bay of Plenty District.

There is access to:

  • Books, Magazines, Audiobooks, DVDs, Jigsaw Puzzles, public computers, printing and scanning.
  • Free WIFI 7am-7pm, 7 days per week
  • Library membership also gives access to e books, eAudio books, Pressreader online newspapers and magazines
  • All Western Bay of Plenty District Council enquiries eg. Dog registrations, rates, service requests, water connections.

Regular programming:

  • Book Buzz – a book discussion group – 10am, 3rd Monday of the Month
  • Justice of the Peace – Tuesdays 11am to 12 noon
  • Read, Sing, Move – story time for preschoolers – Wednesdays during school term 10am.
  • Brick Club – Fridays during the school term 3-4pm
  • School holidays Activities and Crafts.

  • Friday: 10am to 5pm
  • Saturday: 9am to 12am
