Waihi Beach Focus Club

The Waihi Beach Focus Club was started in 2015, and has grown from about 30 members to approximately 200 members.

While it started out as Probus but after several months due to National association, the group was changed to a community-led format. The club is run along similar lines as Probus but are able to keep costs to a minimum, hence the reason the membership is only $10.00 a year p.p.

There are many people who have retired or live in the community who have had amazing, successful and interesting lives and are speakers at monthly meetings as well as those from out of town. As well as a 30-minute speaker there is a 10-minute speaker from a local business or club that helps to keep group members informed of local activity.

In March 2020 the Waihi Beach Community Development Charitable Trust was formed and the Waihi Beach Focus Club is now part of that Trust.
