Te Mata Wetland Annual Planting Day – 14 May

Te Mata wetland is right beside the Community Centre on Beach Road; and the tamariki from Waihi Beach Primary have planted over 2500 native plants there over the past three years.
But there’s still work to be done – so please come along and help on the annual planting day where we’ll help the kids plant hundreds of seedlings to continue to restore our important wetland.
Start at 8am to prepare holes for the kids to plant into (but you can join in at any time – every bit helps)
Time: 8 – 2.30pm.  All helped is appreciated, so volunteers welcome to drop any time from 8 – 2.30.
Bring boots, a spade and a smile!
