“Community connection is key. To live well, whatever that looks like for each of us, having support there when we need it makes all the difference.”

From the ground up, community-led is how communities get things done. Waihi Beach is no exception, with many groups and services achieving great things. Our goal begins the process of linking these together, and with members of the community.

When times are tough, community connection and access to resources is what provides support for people to be resilient and get through. Our aim is to amplify what exists, ask questions about what is needed, and promote connection to support resiliency and community development at Waihi Beach.

Scope

Anna Schroeder

Community Development Facilitator

Anna is the Live Well Waihi Beach project facilitator, bringing a passion for wellness, communication and community to the round table. Find her enjoying continuous cups of tea, studying psychology, and writing about all things Waihi Beach.

Hannah Eagle

Drone Photographer

Having chosen a career in the superyacht industry, Hannah has found herself at beautiful beaches all over the world and yet she thinks nothing is quite as perfect as our little paradise at Waihi Beach. "Drone photography allowed me to capture a slice of that, and breathe in the memories wherever I am, whenever I can. I hope my prints will bring the same feeling of home to all whose walls they grace." - Hannah
